Why this Website

After Harvey Hurricane, terrible images of our devastated city were broadcast in the news accross the world as well as many touching and beautiful examples of solidarity and strength. Along with everyone, I felt deeply touched by these challenging times and I decided to give another vision of this city, focusing on the Beauty,  in order to “ward off bad fate”.

I took pictures for months trying to explain how Houston “grows in you”. And I came to this personal conclusion : I like this city because nothing is set in stone. Everything is in the process of becoming in an endearing exuberant disorder.

My perception has changed. I have learned to love this living urban chaos and to track down and capture the beauty wherever it hides.

Enjoy "my" Houston!

But this sprawling, spread out and eclectic city was not such an easy subject to be photograph. Houston combines so many different realities : impressive huge highways and peaceful green neighbourhoods, large wild areas with bumpy roads and top notch upscale districts with luxurious stores, powerful and modern towers and nostalgic historical wood houses;  impeccable venues and improbable offbeat places.
